Combining CGI and post-production, we produced a series of images for the John Deere “Paperwork is Tough” campaign by Ideya. John Deere helps government agencies get through the reams of paper in the procurement process. Filtre Studio was asked to help bring the paper landscape idea to life. Millions of pieces of CGI paper were 3D modeled, rendered and retouched to create the series of eight images.

Behind the Scenes
While all of the product images are traditional photography, we modeled a simplified placeholder of the equipment for scale, camera alignment and realistic shadows. Once we established the correct lighting and camera angle, we turned off the placeholder model and rendered the high resolution scene with materials and textures.
